The Kentucky Military History Museum is reopening on a temporary basis later this month.

The museum is located in downtown Frankfort, the building itself was built in 1850 and it's listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

It's been closed for two years for renovations and there's still more restoration work to be done but the museum is opening on Saturday, November 14, 2009.

Tours are free and open to the public.
