A guard at a Kentucky prison says inmates who rioted and set fire to buildings in August were upset over the food they were being served.
Matt Hughes, a corrections officer at Northpoint Training Center, says inmates complained they weren't being fed enough and that the food was of poor quality.
Hughes disputed the Department of Corrections' assertion that inmates rioted after a gang incident.
Inmates burned six buildings at the facility near Burgin on August 21st.
