Police say a Ft. Campbell soldier was killed by her husband in an apparent murder-suicide at home in southwestern Kentucky.

Oak Grove police received a call around 2:00p.m. from a man who said he fatally shot his wife.

The man told authorities he would wait for an ambulance but at some point he shot himself.

The couple's names have not been released.

Police said the their two young sons were home at the time but were not harmed.

They report the couple had a history of domestic violence and were having financial problems.
