Some 16,000 people have power again after a major outage this morning.
A fault in the South Bowling Green Substation on Russellville Road left people scrambling to get ready for work and school.
"We don't know if that's due to weather, lightning or if that piece of equipment itself failed. We had some weather in the area at the time of the outage coming into our service territory. So we're thinking it's going to be related to the weather, but we're looking into it right now," BGMU's Miles McDaniel said.
McDaniel said more customers were affected than normal because of road construction on Lovers Lane. The power went out just after 6 a.m. on April 11, 2007, and was back on a little more than an hour later.
