Kentucky's attorney general appoints a special prosecutor to review a campaign finance compliant against gubernatorial candidate Steve Henry. This comes after a former campaign worker for Henry's campaign sent a complaint to the attorney general's office for further review.
Lesile Holland made allegations about Henry's fund-raising tactics in a complaint to the Kentucky registry of election finance. Holland's Attorney Oliver Barber said there was not swift enough action at the registry and a decision on the matter needs to come before the May 22, 2007, primary.
The compliant and letter to the attorney general's office was sent April 12, 2007.
Henry is one of seven democrats seeking their party's nomination.
