The WKU Greentoppers-Students for campus Sustainability took part in a nationwide "Step it Up" campaign on Saturday.
They're asking Congress to take action against global warming by reducing carbon emissions by 80-percent by the year 2050.
Event Coordinator, Bonny McDonald, says she participates in events like this one for a bigger reason.
"I really believe people have the power to change the world and i like to enact that power and i like to show others they have that power", says McDonald.
The group made a human "Step it Up" sign which they photographed and will send off to Congress.
Groups like the Greentoppers want to improve fuel efficiency of cars, increase investment in renewable energy, and cap global warming pollution, among other issues.
