Two Kentucky State Police troopers from the Bowling Green Post receive recognition for their life-saving skills.
Troopers Jonathan Biven and Tim Adams were recognized for their acts of assistance at a collision scene on Feb. 5, 2007.
Biven and Adams responded to a call on I-65 of a driver trapped in an overturned vehicle. Upon arriving at the scene the troopers realized the driver was in extreme pain and danger of going into shock due to blood loss.
Biven and Adams pulled the driver from the vehicle and administered first aid.
When EMS arrived the driver was life-flighted to University of Louisville hospital where he was listed in serious condition for several days.
Bowling Green Post Commander Bill Payton said the troopers kept a critical situation from turning into a fatal accident.
