Kentucky’s Administrative Office of the Courts said all records will be stored in a warehouse in Frankfort, Ky., rented by the agency.
The move comes after criticism of the destruction of thousands of old files from Louisville, Ky.
The office also said Kentucky will likely switch to electronic filing of court records within the next few years. This will eliminate the need to preserve new documents.
