The survivor of a Kentucky high school shooting said the best thing Virginia Tech students can do is talk about it.
Missy Jenkins-Smith was left paralyzed after a December 1997 shooting at Heath High School in Paducah, Ky. Michael Carneal opened fired on a prayer group Missy was attending, killing three students and injuring five.
Missy said she still talks about the incident and it’s like therapy for her.
Missy is now married, working on a Social Work Master’s degree and expecting her first child in September 2007.
Carneal is serving life in prison at the Kentucky State Reformatory in La Grange, Ky.
