Attorney General Jack Conway is strongly urging that execution dates be set for three convicted murderers on Kentucky's death row.

On Monday, Conway sent a letter to Governor Steve Beshear asking for execution dates for Ralph Baze Jr., Robert Foley and Gregory Wilson, all of whom have exhausted their appeals in state and federal courts.

The convictions of the three have been fully reviewed by the courts, including the Kentucky Supreme Court.

A statement released by Conway says he's asking for these executions because it is his job to enforce the laws of the Commonwealth.

He adds that the horrific crimes these men committed have taken an enormous toll on the victim's families and hopes his actions will provide them with closure.
