Food Chef Paula Deen was seeing stars Monday afternoon after she got hit right in the face by an 8lb. ham.

An event in Georgia started out nonviolently when Deen brought a truckload of pork donated by Smithfield to Hosea's Feed the Hungry and Homeless event.

Paula demonstrated a perky spirit as she helped unload the hams and even playfully threw one like a football but Deen proved to be a better quarterback than a receiver.

"He threw the ham back and I was unexpecting the pig and it hit me full on, 'bout knocked me for a loop," said Deen.

Onlookers say at first everyone was horrified, clamoring to get the star an ice pack for her nose but within minutes Paula Deen was hamming it up with other volunteers.

She says she is someone who can laugh about anything including going head on with a hog.
