MySpace used in adoption search

A couple near Detroit, Mich., have spent five years trying to conceive, but now have resorted to the popular social networking site to find a pregnant teen wanting them to adopt a baby girl.

The Dittmars already have a biological son and two adopted ones, but they say they're desperate for a baby girl.

"We desperately want a daughter, as so many families do. There's so many families wanting to adopt," said Sherry Dittmar, mother wanting to adopt.

Their MySpace profile seems to be resounding success so far, as they have received more than 1,700 hundred messages since April 23, 2007, alone.

"It's a very serious profile and if they view any other profiles it's the standard," Sherry said. "It's the same thing that other families put out there."

"We got a bunk bed so that Wyatt can sleep with me, and then Wyatt's room will be the little girl's room," said one of Sherry's sons.
