A Monroe County Judge refuses to grant a change of venue in the trial of a former Tompkinsville, Ky., teacher accused of having a sexual relationship with a student.
In January 2006, 26-year-old Angela Comer ran off to Mexico with a 14-year-old student. Comer is also accused of having a sexual relationship with the boy.
Despite attempts to have her bond reduced and be released on home incarceration, Comer remains in jail awaiting her trial.
This afternoon, Judge Eddie Lovelace overruled a motion for the change of venue.
Last fall Comer was filed competant to stand trial.
