A Tennessee woman has been sentenced in Todd County, Ky., after pleading guilty to embezzling nearly $280,000 from the Guthrie Senior Citizen Center’s bingo operation.
Todd Circuit Judge, Tyler Gill rejected a plea agreement that would have kept Paula Terrones out of jail.
Terrones entered a guilty plea on March 7, 2007, to five counts in a 264 count indictment. She was a bookkeeper for the Senior Citizen Center.
An investigation by the Office of the Charitable Gaming found that Terrones altered checks.
Judge Gill ordered Terrones to 15 years of incarceration.
