A Franklin, Ky., man is killed in a morning accident involving a train.
According to Kentucky State Police, 56-year-old Reathell Sorrells was attempting to cross the railroad tracks on foot as a CSX train was traveling southbound.
Police say for some unknown reason Sorrells continued to walk across the tracks and was hit.
He was taken to the Franklin Medical Center where he later died.
KSP said Sorrells didn’t cross the tracks at a designated crossing and the train’s horn and bell were sounded.
The accident remains under investigation.
