The real Run for the Roses may be tomorrow at Churchill Downs, but students across the area also have Derby fever.
St. Joseph's School in Bowling Green, Ky., was one of many schools in South Central Kentucky hosting a stick horse version of the Kentucky Derby.
While the inclement weather forced the event indoors it was still a festive event. Teachers said its a great way for students to learn about the traditions and customs of the historic race. While having some fun horsing around.
