With less-than 24 hours to go before families sit down for a Thanksgiving meal with loved-ones preps are being made for the less-fortunate.

The Salvation Army is busy putting the finishing touches on this year's Thanksgiving meal for around 700.

Tomorrow from 11:00 to 2:00 those in need of a meal will be treated to a traditional turkey and stuffing dinner complete with all the trimmings, including cranberry sauce, green beans, and various desserts.

"If you have nowhere to eat for Thanksgiving, just come on in here. We're going to have an outstanding chef, and he was excited to find out that we were going to be doing Thanksgiving," says Major Edward Binnix, Salvation Army.

Major Binnix says he has received more-than enough turkeys for a Thanksgiving dinner and their reputation for food has been growing steadily with this year's chef.

If you or someone you know is in need of a Thanksgiving meal the Salvation Army plans to serve from 11:00 to 2:00 Thursday afternoon.
