A Richardsville, Ky., family is without a place to live after fire destroyed part of their home.
Shonda Tibbs said she was getting ready for dinneron May 9, 2007 when one of her children yelled that there was a fire in the back of their house.
Tibbs said she tried to put it out and it wasn't until she went outside that she realized her entire house was in flames.
She said at that point her biggest concern was protecting her family.
"I have four kids, so this one right here did a really good job getting everybody out for me," Tibbs said refering to one of her children.
Tibbs said her family will probably stay at her mother's house for now.
The Richardsville Fire Department responded to the fire around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday on North Campbell Road.
Officials say a grounded wire may have caused the fire, but it's still under investigation.
