Merry Denney says being a mother is unlike anything she has ever experienced before.

"I cannot fathom not being a mom, everything I think and do always involves my kids and it's just a way of being now", says Merry.

Merry moved away several years ago to St. Louis and has not always been able to spend Mother's Day with her boys in recent years.

"All of the sudden it was like, oh, Mothers day without my boys really did tug at my heart strings and I tried not to let it get me down but it was really hard", says Merry.

Merry's son Phillip says it was hard during the years they couldn't show their appreciation in person on Mothers Day.

"I missed my mom but it was more that I wanted to be there for her". says oldest son Phillip Denney.

Phillip says he feels one day just isn't enough to celebrate his mom.

"There should be more than one day a year, they have done so much for us and molded us into what we are today so one day's the least we can do to thank our wonderful mothers", says Phillip.

Ben agrees with with his older brother and says honoring his mother on mothers day is extremely important.

"All the days that she does for you she deserves one day that is devoted especially to her", says youngest son Ben Denney.

"It's the day in and day out and the way you interact with your children that gives you the most joy of a mother", says Merry.

Merry says seeing her sons in person really does make for a perfect Mother's Day but she also says her heart really goes out to others who are not able to see each other in person on this special day.
