A frightening experience aboard a cruise ship this ends with no injuries.
A Majestic America Cruise spokesman said one of its ships hit a rock and was taking on water off the Alaska coast. The ship has now been stabilized and the passengers have been moved to nearby ships.
The coast guard said the Empress of the North was carrying 281 passengers when it hit the rock in a strait about 15 miles southwest of Juneau.
