BG Grandmother Pleads Guilty in Double Shooting

A Bowling Green, Ky., grandmother pleads guilty to two counts of assault, after shooting at her granddaughter's estranged husband and his mother.

Lois Jean Hudson pleaded guilty in Warren Circuit Court on May 18, 2007, to one count of first degree and one count of second degree assault under extreme emotional disturbance.

Hudson had fired two shots into Adam Paul Baack's chest, when he arrived to pick up his three-year-old son on Apache Drive on October 19, 2005. She also shot at Baack's mother, Deborah, sitting in the car. Both recovered from their injuries.

Warren Commonwealth's Attorney, Chris Cohron, recommends Hudson serve five years on each count, for a total of ten years in the state penitentiary.

Hudson's final sentencing is set for July 11.
