At its next meeting, the Warren County Fiscal Court was hoping to pass an ordinance banning any weapons from county property on Aug. 31. That's the day the Ku Klux Klan out of Louisville is planning to hold a rally outside the Warren County Justice Center.

But the Warren County attorney says the proposed weapons ban is against state law, which prohibits local governments from regulating firearms, so the Fiscal Court will not consider the ordinance.
