There's a new leader for Kentucky's Democratic party.
Party Chairman Jerry Lundergan is planning to resign next week, and on May 24, 2007, Democratic nominee for governor, Steve Beshear, recommended Jonathan Miller for the position.
Miller is the state treasurer, but because of term limits he can't run for the post again. Miller was in the race for governor, but dropped out and endorsed Beshear.
The central executive committee will vote on Miller's nomination next week.
The Republican Party is also looking for a new leader.
