In Iraq, hundreds of U.S. and Iraqi troops are combing parts of Baghdad for five British civilians.
They were kidnapped from a protected government building on May 29, 2007.
A witness said gunmen in at least four government-issued SUVs entered the Finance Ministry Compound.
They reportedly walked past the guards without incident and asked where are the westerners?
A top interior ministry official said authorities are working on the assumption, the five missing British men were abducted by the Militia of Mugtada Al-Sadr.
The Anglican Vicar of Baghdad is trying to negotiate the men’s release.
