On Thursday, December 3, Bowling Green's "Historic Downtown Lights Up" event begins with the ceremonial lighting of Fountain Square Park by Mayor Elaine Walker.
Live music will be played, and hot chocolate and goodies will be served.
You can even enjoy the sights from a free horse-drawn carriage ride. Everything you need to get into the holiday spirit.
"It's the kick-off to the Christmas season," said Bobbie Jo Sexton, BG's City Central Coordinator. "It's a free event. You get to enjoy beautiful historic park, see all the beautiful lights. You can do some Christmas shopping in some of the unique locally owned business we have downtown."
Festivities kick off Thursday evening at 5:00, with lights being turned at at 5:30.
More than 50 door prizes will be given away, and of course, a visit from Santa.
