One of Tennessee's most wanted is caught in Kentucky after a weekend jail escape.

30-year-old Jeremiah Bradshaw walked out of a jail just about 80 miles south of Bowling Green in Cheatham County, Tennessee early Sunday morning.

He quickly became one of the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation's top ten fugitives, but now he's back behind bars after a tip led authorities to Franklin, Kentucky and Bradshaw's arrest.

"Sometimes it's exciting, sometimes it's boring. I like it better on the boring side," said Deputy Mark Spitzer, with the Simpson County Sheriff's Office.

For Deputy Mark Spitzer, his Tuesday morning patrol was anything but boring.

Just after 5:30, Spitzer, along with U.S. Marshals and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation were led to the Knight's Inn looking for 30-year-old Jeremiah Bradshaw.

"From what I understand, they received a tip from a female that she had rented him a room, or had a room rented here," Spitzer said.

Authorities say on Sunday morning Bradshaw pretended to be another inmate who was scheduled for release, and convinced jail workers to let him walk right out of the Cheatham County Jail.

But just two days later, officials say he was asleep here in Kentucky, when an unarmed and cooperative Bradshaw was arrested.

"We saw he had looked out the window and we had an officer standing at the window. I believe he saw him and just came and unchained the door and said, 'I give up,'" Spitzer said.

A fugitive with a criminal past, Bradshaw had previously been serving a jail sentence for aggravated robbery after holding up a Tennessee Rite-Aid.

Deputy Spitzer says with the chance of an offender re-offending, he's glad Bradshaw is off Simpson County streets and back behind bars.

"You never know with someone on the run what they have, or what they're going to do."

Bradshaw waived extradition back to Cheatham County Tuesday morning and now faces escape charges.

Deputy Spitzer says the woman who rented the room for Bradshaw was caught in Tennessee.
