A program in Barren County, Ky., is transforming children of all ages into inventors.
This is the third year for Camp Invention at Red Cross Elementary in Glasgow.
Children there are investigating make-believe crime scenes, creating new games, designing and building boats, hovercrafts and cars; and transforming ordinary household items into unique inventions.
"All it is is just allowing them to push their minds and take them a step further and think outside the box," said Emma Hutter, Camp Invention Director.
Camp Invention is for children from pre-school through sixth grade, but it isn't just for Barren County students. Camp Invention is a nationwide program and schools in other counties are also participating.
