The Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce will present its new $3 million, 15,000 square foot facility on the morning of June 5, 2007.
Several hundred Chamber partners are expected to turn out for the ribbon-cutting.
The grand opening will also include catering from local restaurants and tours of the new offices.
Owner of the Country Peddler, Kyda West said the opening of a new Chamber building downtown is a blessing for this area.
"It adds to the downtown. There are so many other buildings in downtown and things we're expanding into," West said.
The new Chamber is just the beginning of Downtown Development with projects like Circus Square on the horizon.
Tonya Matthews of the Chamber said the addition of the new Chamber to downtown will also attract new business to the area.
She said since the new building opened, strangers come in wanting to get involved with the Chamber.
"When people are looking to move to the Bowling Green area or relocate their business to the Bowling Green area. When they see our building and are comparing us to other communities, they can really the the pride we have in our community," Matthews explained.
The new Chamber will host more meeting rooms, high quality presentation facilities, and state-of-the-art technology.
"The Bowling Green Chamber is now a wireless facility. We have all new computers. We have all new, pretty high tech security system. As well as, our community room has LCD projectors and everything moves at the touch of a button," Matthews continued.
West said she feels the new Chamber will make people stand up and notice.
"I think they're going to feel like they're in Louisville, Cincinnati, or New York. Its a building and facility we can all be proud of," West said proudly.
The Bowling Green Area Chamber is the fourth largest in the state with 1200 current members. It is also a nationally-accredited organization.
