Miss Kentucky visits nearly 200 schools a year although she says Friday's visit in Bowling Green was special to her.
Mallory Ervin of Morganfield was crowned Miss Kentucky after winning The Miss Bowling Green pageant this year.
On Friday she returned to Bowling Green to speak to St. Joseph school.
Mallory speaks to schools about working hard, being healthy, and finding your talents.
Mallory hopes the students get her message of following your dreams whatever they may be.
"There is a skew perception of what you can do with your gift and talents. I think that they think the only thing they can do is sing or be a dancer, or sport really well, and i want them to know they have something special to offer the world. That's when you going to be the happiest is when your doing what it is that your meant to do," says Mallory Ervin, Miss Kentucky.
Mallory is a graduate of the Catholic school system and said she enjoyed speaking at St. Joe because she had the opportunity to talk about the importance of faith.
She will be competing in the Miss America pageant January 30th.
