Bowling Green native Wendell Stanton has been in Iraq since January 10. Stanton requested the time off to come home to see his oldest daughter graduate from Greenwood High School.

Stanton said he was very fortunate to see his daughter graduate and have the chance to reunite with family and friends. Stanton returns to Iraq Thursday the 27th.

Stanton will return home for good in December but that also depends on whether or not they extend his duties.

His daughter, Amber will attend Western next school year and major in nursing, his other daughter Kristen will attend high school in the fall.
