The dry weather is forcing another burn ban in South Central Kentucky. Barren County has outlawed all outdoor burning.

Barren County Judge-Executive Davie Greer issued the order on June 11, 2007, saying, “no person shall light or maintain an open fire in any location in Barren County.”

Last week Warren County Judge-Executive Mike Buchanon issued a burn ban for Warren County.

Both burn bans are due to the lack of rain creating an excessive dryness in the area and both are in effect until further notice
