The local UAW building was full of music and applause as the Martin Luther King, Jr. Planning Committee held its fifth annual Night at the Apollo fundraiser.
The night featured many impersonations in a tribute to Michael Jackson, and Michael himself was played by our very own Ryan Dearbone.
Other impersonations included Stevie Wonder and the Jackson Five.
Those with the committee say they enjoy raising money to help those in the community.
"The committee is a group of people from the community that's joined together to raise money to help sponsor some children in the community," said Michael Delaney, Chairperson of the committee. "Events like the Historic Black College tour, and we give away scholarships with the money that we raise."
All proceeds from Saturday night's ticket sales will go to the Martin Luther King, Jr. Planning Committee.
A Night at the Apollo is a fun event that all in attendance hope will continue in the future.
