This weekend you can give the gift of dad with a Wendy's frosty and at the same time help those without a dad!
This weekend is "frosty weekend" at some Wendy's franchises around the country.
The purpose of "frosty weekend" is to celebrate Father's Day by helping children who don't have parents.
The Wendy's in Bowling Green are donating money from every frosty sold.
"We're celebrating that gift by hopefully others giving the gift of Frosty's to their dads on Father's day, and then in turn $.50 of each one sold goes to help children who don't have a family now", says the Vice-President of Sales & Marketing, Bayne Million.
Currently in Kentucky there are over 1,000 children in foster care waiting for permanent homes.
Wendy's late founder Dave Thomas was adopted himself. His hope was to find loving homes for children awaiting adoption across the country.
