Plans are being made by Bowling Green city officials attempting to solve a water drainage problem. A Bowling Green water drainage task force has outlined a plan they hope to accomplish within the next year.
The task force was designed to find a solution to EPA's mandate that cities all over the United States protect the nation's groundwater. Emmett Wood, Director of Public Works, says the task force plans to analyze how much a better drainage system will cost, how to finance it, and how to educate the public of the process. The EPA is asking that the plan be submitted by March 10, 2003.
