Warm water, hot daytime temperatures and low water levels due to repair work on Wolf Creek Dam are giving anglers at the Cumberland River, the chance to catch a few more fish.
Kentucky wildlife officials are extending the daily limit at the river to ten fish per day. The extension applies to Brown Trout and Rainbow Trout.
Fishing enthusiasts are being encouraged to catch these fish before they die due to the extreme conditions.
The new limit will remain in effect until conditions improve.
