Police in Indiana said a 15-year-old boy who shot two sheriff’s deputies on June 18, 2007, posted a farewell message on-line before shooting and killing himself.

One of the deputies shot by the teen, died, the other, seriously wounded.

The deputies had gone to a home in Southern Indiana to investigate a call from the boy’s mother about a confrontation she’d had with her son.

A prosecutor said minutes after the deputies were shot, Tyler Dumstorf posted a message on his myspace.com page that said, “I just killed two cops. Goodbye.”

Dumstorf’s body was found early on June 19, inside the home.

Authorities said the teen was due in court on the same day, on a misdemeanor marijuana charge, which was part of the discussion he’d been having with his mother.
