Here in Bowling Green, you can avoid the fuss--by taking the bus! The BG transit operates Monday through Friday, but the first Saturday of each month the Go Shopping Shuttles take passengers to major shopping areas, Like Walmart and the Greenwood mall.

Go BG Transit says with fluctuating gas prices and cold weather, taking the bus is the way to go.

"If your car's down and you need to get to and from the shop, think about using the transit bus to get you to or from," says Ken Merideth, the Public Transit Coordinator with Community Action of Southern Kentucky, "if you want to save money on fuel, or if you're going shopping and you'd like to get out at the front door of the store, instead of having to walk all that distance at each store from the outer limits of the parking lot, transit can get you there."
