The parent company of a Bowling Green Hospital is getting ready to send one million dollars to assist relief efforts in the island nation.

Hospital Corporation of America which owns Greenview Regional Hospital announced the initiative today.

Nashville based HCA will donate the money to various aid organizations like the Red Cross and doctors without borders.

The company will match dollar for dollar what Greenview and other hospital employees choose to donate.

"We are pulling together as many dollars and medical supplies as we can, in order to get them to the country of Haiti as quickly as possible and assist the victims of the earthquake."

Instead of volunteering yourself relief agencies say cash and supply donations are still the easiest and most effective way people can assist in the haitian disaster relief.
