Drive Your Corvette to Work Day

Bowling Green is the Corvette Capitol, but on June 29, 2007, you might see even more of the sportscars on the road than usual.

It's the 7th annual Drive Your Corvette to Work Day.

The event is sponsored by Mid America Motorworks and was started to celebrate the first production of the car.

Adam Boca has been infatuated with the Corvette ever since he laid eyes on it.

"Essentially I saw the car just driving around town and I was hooked," Boca said.

"The Corvette has just always been my favorite car. I've always wanted one," Corvetter owner, Bill Turner said.

The Corvette is called America's first sportscar and it isn't uncommon in Bowling Green.

The city is home to The National Corvette Museum and can boast it's the only place in the world where they're made.

"I drive my car everyday. We have two Corvettes - this is my daily driver, it's also my race car," Boca said.

Boca was so taken by the car, he's worked at the museum for the last decade.

He met his wife there and even had the emblem permanently inked on his body.

"I have a Corvette tattoo," Boca said.

Boca said he hopes people take advantage of their cars and drive them everyday, not just one day out of the year.
