Federal agents put a damper on a fireworks wholesaler by raiding its warehouse and nearby retail store in Northern Kentucky.
The 45,000-square-foot premium fireworks warehouse was raided on July 2, 2007.
Agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and local authorities also raided the company’s retail store in Covington, Ky.
ATF Special Agent Brandt Schenken said the raids stemmed from public safety concerns. Despite the raids, the premium fireworks store in Covington was open on July 3.
