Several people throughout South Central Kentucky felt the power of the storms Monday afternoon; everything from power outages to fallen trees caused problems. Earlier in the afternoon, a tornado warning was in effect for Warren and Monroe counties. There were no reports of any actual tornadoes touching down, but some severe straight line winds did cause some damage.

Several firefighters and police officers were called out Monday afternoon to help with some severe storm damage. One man says he was driving along Browning Road when his car was hit by a tree. The Browning Fire Department had to work to cut the tree apart so cars could drive through. The driver of the car says he was shocked when he looked up and saw a tree start to fall.

On the other side of Bowling Green, in a similar incident, a tree fell on top of a mobile home at Greenwood Trailer Park. Western Hills mobile home residents were also called out of their homes. One mobile home at the park caught on fire after a power line went down. Fortunately, no one was injured in any of these incidents.
