Teen Dies of Alcohol Poisoning-Family Faces Murder Charges

In Cumberland County, four adults are facing murder charges one year after a teenager in their care died of alcohol poisoning .

Kentucky State Police say the 14-year-old daughter of Lavonda Garner died in May of 2006. Earlier this week, Garner was arrested along with the teen's father, James Cleary.

The teen's aunt, Teresa Riley, and her uncle, Mark Riley, were also arrested. Police say the Riley's had custody of the teen when she died.

All four Burkesville residents were indicted by a Cumberland County grand jury for allowing the teen to drink alcohol.

It is my understanding that she was in the home of her Mother & Father at the time of her death. They called Mark and Teresa to come to their home because they could not get her to wake up. She had been with her Aunt and Uncle earlier in the day, but they had already took her home.

They need to be lock-up. B/C they knew she was 14 Years old. And they still give her something to drink.

this is really upsetting. Our teenagers/children are our most precious assets and need to be raised as such. Morals in our country are becoming non-existent.
