This is surveillance video of a white woman forging a stolen check at an area Minit Mart. Authorities say a woman's wallet was stolen at the Franklin Drive-In movie theater Saturday night, June 16. "Surf's Up" and "Shrek 3" were playing at the time. Police mention that, to see if you may have been at the drive-in that night, and may have seen the theft occur.
Shortly after the theft, forged checks began appearing at both Bowling Green Wal-Marts, the Wal-Mart in Franklin, and area Minit Marts. The suspect is seen on surveillance video, purchasing RC Cola and cigarettes with the stolen checks.
The Simpson County Sheriff's Department and Bowling Green Police are investigating.
