Students at Holy Trinity Lutheran School reached their goal by building a "Mountain of Giving."

Each day students brought food and cleaning supplies until their goal was met.

The idea of the service project was to help students understand the importance of giving and getting involved with your community.

However student Cale Buelow at Holy Trinity believes the project is bigger than giving away goods.

He says people will know someone cares for them.

" Sometimes they think that nobody really cares because when they're homeless they don't get any food, they don't have a lot of food, and they think nobody cares. When people give them free food, they think that somebody really does care."

The Director of School Ministries at Holy Trinity says the items collected will go to the St. Vincent DePaul Food Pantry.
