Saturday afternoon, Farm Safety Day was held in Logan County to provide tips for farmers and remind them to take precautions when working out in the field. There were different mock simulators set up to show the potential dangers farmers could be faced with.

Farm Safety Day began in 1994 statewide. In 1995, there were 50 agricultural related deaths, but in 2000 that number was down to 15. Many farmers say that’s due to the helpful tips they learn at Safety Days.
