Warren County started spring cleaning a little early this year with the Kentucky P.R.I.D.E open dump clean-up.

Every year Kentucky P.R.I.D.E gives grants in order to clean up certain areas within the state.

So far this year Warren County has been granted six dump sites.

However, Stan Reagan, Coordinator of the Division for Environmental Planning and Assistance says ridding waste materials has its benefits.

"By removing this debris, which is immediately an eyesore to the whole community. The second thing it does is remove material that may leach into ground water supplies and make water contaminated," Reagan said.

He also said they're still looking for more sites with more trash to clean up.

If you have sites to tell them about contact Stan Reagan at www.warco.depa@ky.gov.
