A Kentucky man is behind bars after authorities say he left his baby inside a cold oven.

The baby's mother made the discovery yesterday when she woke up to his crying.

Larry Long, 33, is being held in the McCracken County Detention Center on a $10,000 bond.

He's charged with wanton endangerment.

Police say long told them that he smoked marijuana and drank alcohol and didn't recall placing the child in the oven.

The oven was not turned on and the door was partially left open.

The five-month old boy was unharmed.

The baby and two other children were removed from the home.
