Irish fever was present in Chicago today where for more than 40 years Journeymen plumbers have been dyeing the Chicago river green!
Spectators gathered along the river to catch the best view.
The dye is originally orange but upon interaction with the water turns that beautiful bright kelly green.
And, inspired by her hometown of Chicago, Michelle Obama decided to celebrate Saint Patrick's Day in a whole new way at the White House.
For the first time in its history the White House dyed its fountain water green!
President Obama also celebrated the holiday by meeting with Irish leaders in Washington.
