The shooting death of an Allen County man has officially been ruled accidental.

The Allen County Sheriff's Department says they believe Mark Adkison, 52, had set his 30-06 rifle down on the floor outside his cabin at 1959 Pea Ridge Road, and it went off.

They say the bullet went up through his right side killing him.

Deputies discovered Adkison's body Monday morning.
