The superintendent of Caverna Independent Schools is retiring amid controversy.
Dr. Charles H. Roberts was ordered to attend anger management counseling after his wife filed a domestic violence petition against him.
Interim superintendent Sam Dick says the school board accepted Roberts resignation Friday, effective July 31.
Roberts had been at Caverna for ten years. A search for his replacement will begin soon.
